SOMA·X FLOW
RGB · MediaPipe · accessible
Available · Q2 2027
Motion capture from any RGB camera, powered by computer vision and artificial intelligence (MediaPipe). No dedicated hardware, no mocap suit: real-time body tracking, accessible to researchers, students and artists.
Any camera, for everyone
SOMAX FLOW uses any RGB camera — built into the laptop or connected over USB, even in multi-camera setups — to detect and track bodies in real time. It needs no dedicated hardware and no mocap suit: it's designed to be accessible to researchers, students and artists.
Multi-camera, fewer occlusions
With multiple devices, FLOW synchronizes the video streams and interpolates the data, reducing occlusion zones: the performer can move freely even in complex spaces, keeping the body tracked even when leaving a camera's field of view.
All local, on your GPU
Processing happens entirely locally, on the machine's GPU, without sending data to any external service. Body recognition is handled by MediaPipe, which follows its key points in real time, frame by frame.
Same OSC as CORE
The digital skeleton is streamed over the OSC protocol in the same format as SOMAX CORE: moving from FLOW to a depth-camera setup requires no changes to the pipeline. Calibration and operating parameters are configurable through dedicated wizards.
