Photorealistic volumetric capture. Colour and depth from the ZED 2i become a dense volume of light — the performer's body rebuilt in space, for real-time rendering and post-production.
ZED 2i stereo, dense point cloud
SOMAX LUMEN uses the ZED 2i stereoscopic camera to capture colour and depth simultaneously at high resolution. Each frame produces a dense point cloud, in which every fragment of the body is placed precisely in three-dimensional space.
Multi-view, volumetric coverage
With multiple viewpoints, LUMEN synchronizes the streams and reduces occlusion zones: the performer can move freely through the space, keeping continuous volumetric coverage even in the most complex scenes.
Gaussian Splatting, a volume of light
Gaussian Splatting turns the point cloud into a dense, photorealistic volume — not a polygonal mesh, but a continuous set of spheres of light that renders the body's texture, surfaces and movement with precision.
Real-time or post-production
The result can be used in real time inside the rendering environment, or in post-production for compositing, immersive installations, VFX or virtual sets.
